MISSION STATEMENT |
| Wetovick Purebreds began with the purchase of a bred Hampshire gilt in 1975 as an FFA project. Early on, our primary objective was to produce boars to be used in commercial herds. As the quality of the herd progressed, we began to sell boars and gilts to purebred breeders across the country. While we still sell purebred boars and gilts, as well as commercial boars, our emphasis has shifted to the production of showpigs. I am a firm believer that in order to produce high quality showpigs you must obtain the best purebred genetics available. This is the reason we strive to continually upgrade our purebreds as a means to also improve the quality of our crossbred showpigs. |

MISSION STATEMENT |
| Wetovick Purebreds began when we started AI’ing cows in the summer of 1973. Purebred cattle purchases along with continued AI have influenced the genetics of the herd as it stands today. A major milestone was the purchase of Black Impact in 1996. He is the sire of the majority of our cowherd. Along the way, fullblood cows were added and their numbers are being increased through the use of embryo transplant. The main goal of our cattle program is to produce bulls that can improve commercial cattle in the important areas of calving ease and growth rate, along with improving muscling and marbling |
